I absolutely love the ritual of incorporating a cold pressed juice into my day. It is a quick and easy (and not to mention insanely delicious) way to nourish my body and kick start my day.

On a dinner out with girlfriends recently I rediscovered my love for cocktails. After over a year of not dining out at restaurants or going to bars (thank you, COVID19), I forgot the pleasure of drinking a perfectly sweet and fruity cocktail.

However, as the night wrapped up I was reminded again that the price tag normally attached to cocktails (and not to mention the amount of refined sugar added) makes it something that cannot be enjoyed on a regular occasion.

It got me thinking, though, if I could make cocktails easily at home and also tweak the ingredients slightly so it is made with health and wellness in mind, then it can become something that can be enjoyed a lot more regularly.

So let me introduce to you the Cold Pressed Pineapple Watermelon Cooler.

I absolutely love watermelon. It has to be one of my favourite summertime fruits. It also is so good for you! Some of my favourite benefits of watermelon juice include:

  • It is a rich source of lycopene, an antioxidant that helps defuse free radicals in the body that can potentially damage tissues and organs. This also has great anti-ageing benefits, keeping your skin glowing and youthful.
  • It also has a high vitamin B6 content which is used by the body to help fight fatigue, stress and anxiety.
  •  It is also an excellent source of electrolytes and minerals which keep the body hydrated and energetic.

This cocktail is to be enjoyed by people 18 years or older. If you are underage, simply switch out the vodka for soda water and enjoy a refreshingly bubbly drink!
